The original oil on canvas was sold. I'm sorry that you missed it. The image size on the print is: 10"x 12 3/4".
This scene is in West Virginia, near Franklin. I was traveling along the base of a mountain in the autumn, when I drove past this old log cabin. It was deserted when I saw it. But, the shocks of corn and Canada geese were there just as in my painting. It was late afternoon and a golden glow washed over the whole scene. I wanted the place to look, "lived in", not deserted. So, I added some smoke coming from the chimney of the cabin.
The Bible Scripture titles on the scene are:
"Even now men cannot look at the light when it is bright in the skies, when the wind has passed and cleared them. He comes from the north as golden spendor; with God is awesome majesty."
- Job 37: 21, 22
&
" In the Lord I put my trust; how can you say to my soul, 'Flee as a bird to your mountain?"
- Psalm 11: 1
"
