This portrait of a Grey stallion was done on a piece of slate cut from a 150 year old blackboard out of a one-room-schoolhouse that was in Fredricksburg, Virginia. The old school was torn down, and we "rescued" the blackboard! But, the slate was so dense and heavy we had to cut it into small blocks!
The Bible Scripture on this slate is God talking to Job, and questioning him as to who is in charge of the earth, heavens, and seas:
"Hast thou given the horse his strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?"
