Commissioned oil on slate
The lady who commissioned this oil on slate said her dog loved being outdoors in all seasons. But, she couldn't make up her mind which season to use! So, I suggested using all the seasons? She didn't know how I would do it, but, thought it sounded like a wonderful idea! So, I added a little picture of the dog in each corner, with a different season. Then a bigger picture of her in the middle.
The rat terrier, "Mackenzie", a little rat terrier, loves butterflies. I didn't know that when I painted it. But, the Holy Spirit did! God put a butterfly, "in my head", to add at the last minute in one of the little scenes in the corner of the painting, landing on the dog's nose! The owner was quite thrilled! She said, "How did you know?" Hummm.
