Commissioned oil on slate
This slate was commissioned by the lady who owned "Montego Bay", a registered paint mare. The foal, "Indy", also a registered paint filly, belonged to her daughter. Sadly, Indy died in an accident before she was a year old. The lady wanted to give the slate to her daughter, and was heartbroken over her loss. She loved and cherished the slate, and it comforted her a great deal. Things like this make me feel like I'm providing a service for folks as well as the Lord.
