I have painted a series of "door" paintings on slate God had inspired from a dream. So far, there have been four different doors. They all carry a powerful message.
On this slate, "The Sheep Door", the actual door and wall represents the "house of the Lord", which is always open, all are welcome. Growing on the wall is the grapevine representing the, "True Vine", (Jesus). The grapes are the, "Fruit of the Vine", (the Word of God). The dove is the, "Holy Spirit". Inside the door you can see how bright the day is! On the outside, where we are living in this world, we think it's a sunny day, until we compare the two! As the Bible says, "Now we look through a mirror darkly, but then face-to-face." One day our eyes will be opened and we shall see how things really look!
The sheep, in all colors, are us, "the sheep of His pasture"! Before we take Jesus as our Savior we are dirty, unkempt, and in need of a cleansing! When we go in the doorway, and accept Jesus as our Savior, he "shears" us of our wool (sins), and washes us, (cleanses us of our sins). Then we can come and go freely through the door to tell others about Jesus!
