"IMA LEAGUER FINDS HER VOICE", is a story for children from about 3rd grade to pre-teen. Jane McCauley has illustrated this story in lovely pictures done in pen & ink or watercolor, on at least every other page. The book was written by authors: Elizabeth E. Copes, and Liza Carpenter, for "The Junior League of Virginia, State Public Affairs Committee".

Ima Leaguer is a little girl who needs her City  to come by and pick-up leaves she and her classmates raked at their school. The City does not have any plans to do this, as the school is not on the pick-up route.

Ima and her friends are upset. There is a big weekend comming up with Election Day, parents coming to see school projects, and a Fall Festival! If the leaves are not removed the school will look terrible!

Ima decides to ask her mother and teacher how to go about getting things changed through the City Hall.

This is a good story to help children learn how to use their City Government. It's done in an easy to read style with great pictures!
