There are no prints for this original oil painting on canvas, I'm sorry. The size of the canvas is: 18"x24". A classic-style "gold" wood frame (not shown), is included in the price of the painting. Ready to hang!
The game and wildlife authorities, and scientists all say there are no mountain lions left in Virginia. Well, someone forgot to tell the mountain lions! We, and our mountain neighbors as well, have them come in our yards from time to time! One comes past our place about once a month, around 1 am, and "screems" like a person! Wow! Talk about a spooky sound! I have read that they have a 40 mile radius they live in, and try to kill a deer a week, which they don't always do. They are good for "culling" the sick, old, and weak animals, which increases herd strength, and insures the deer population won't get too large. They don't ever seem to bother anyone else. Dogs barking keep them at a safe distance, usually. Sonny and I were up on the spine of a mountain, on an old logging road one beautiful fall day. I didn't actually see the lions, but, I could picture in my head how they would look. I called this piece, "Ghosts of the Blueridge", since those "in the know" seem to think they don't exist!
The Bible Scripture title on this painting is:
"Will thoul hunt the prey for the lion? Or fill the appetite of the young lions, when they lie in their dens, and abide in the cover of bushes to lie in wait?"
