This is a real place in the salt-marshes, near the "Oregon Inlet Bridge", which goes from "Nag's Head", to "Cape Hatteras Island", on the "Outer Banks" of North Carolina. When we passed over the bridge, (as Sonny drove), I saw the different water birds perched on the only thing available, a piece of driftwood stump! It looked like they were going to a family reunion, hence the name! There are Great Blue Herons, rare Wood Storks, small Cattle Egrets, and Snowy Egrets. This is a great area for bird watching as there is a major bird sanctuary there.
The Bible Scripture titles on this painting are:
"The stork knows the time of her migration, as does the turtledove, and the crane, and the swallow. They all return at God's appointed time each year; but not My people! They don't accept the laws of God."
- Jeremiah 8: 7
&
"He shall cover thee with His wings, and under His wings shall thou trust: His truth shall be thou shield and buckler."
- Psalm 91: 4
