A farmer has come with his farm wagon and team of horses to the country store where animal feed is sold. The store also takes "used" burlap feed sacks in as trade. The store owner then sells full sacks of feed to the farmer, with a small discount for returning the original feed sacks for re-filling. The patient work horses wait in the sun, while the farmer's dog rests under the wagon in the shade. This place was in Rockingham County, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley.
The Scripture title on the scene is:
"And he said, 'Indeed I have heard that there is grain in Egypt; go down to that place and buy for us there, that we may live and not die."
-Genesis 42:2
