DIRECTIONS: We live in a pretty rural area. We are about 3 miles out of Stuarts Draft, VA. "Lake Road", is just off of the "Howardsville Tpk." Come up "Lake Road" about a mile. You will pass Shenandoah Acres Campground, and what was a lake, with slides, beach, etc., on your left. (It's closed and for sale now.) You will go through some woods, on past "Gertie's Lane" on the left, (but DON'T go up "Gertie's Lane"!). Just past "Gertie's Lane" is a row of mailboxes, on your right. You will see a sign for, "Gra-Mar Lane", (gravel lane), on your right. Come all the way back, into the woods. (NOTE: If you go past our lane, the hard-surface road turns to gravel with holes just ahead. You will notice that you are now in the George Washington National Forest. You will now be on the "Coal Road"...for a long, long time! Unless you plan on camping in the woods, turn around and find "Gra-Mar Lane", now on your left!) If you are now on the proper lane, the road dead-ends at our place. (As you come down "Gra-Mar Lane" you will pass some "black" colored log cabins on your left. These are actually on, "Gra-Mar Circle". So, don't go there.) At the end of "Gra-Mar Lane" you will see a very nice, ranch-style house, with well-cut grass and beautiful landscaping on your right. THAT'S NOT OUR PLACE! Sorry. We are in the rustic cabin on the left, (and our grass might need mowing)! There is usually a white, with blue trimed mini-bus, with "Gra-Mar Art Studio" printed on it, sitting in the driveway. Pull on in and visit a while! The dogs bark, but are very, very friendly! (Especially the little black one, "Moto"!)The cats will run, except the indoor one, "Babygirl",who will probably put cat hair on your clothes. (So, don't dress-up!) If you are allergic, be forewarned! They live here, and are our "fuzzy family". (NOTE: If you are handicapped with crutches, or a wheelchair, etc., I'm very sorry. We don't have a ramp. Several steps, most with handrails, if you think you want to try it. Just a couple of low steps up to my studio. Several wide steps with a handrail up to the bathroom.)
